About Gillian…

Gillian Brookes is a social entrepreneur and HR professional with over 15 years’ experience in the UK and New Zealand.  Before becoming a consultant she held a number of HR leadership roles in the New Zealand public service, including Principal Advisor, HR Head of Profession at the State Services Commission 2017-18. She founded My Kids Village, a social enterprise, in September 2016 which helps working parents find local childcare.

Gillian has a BSc (hons) International Business Economics from Lancaster University, UK and a PgDip Human Resource Management from Kingston University in London, which earnt her Kingston University’s Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development Awardin 2011.  You can connect with Gillian at
