Professor of Marketing

Jill Klein is an esteemed academic and award-winning author, with more than 30 years of teaching experience. Drawing on her family’s experiences during the Holocaust and her recent experience working with Equal Playing Field in Jordan, Jill’s insights and teachings on resilience have inspired people from around the world.

Topic: Resilience in Changing Times
Resilience is the ability to function at healthy levels in the face of challenges and change. Research shows that resilience is key for success at work and satisfaction in life, and with the pace of change increasing, resilience skills will be necessary to thrive in the future. This session will help you to develop healthy appraisals of difficult situations and provide support to others during difficult times.

Jill’s teaching specialties include decision-making, managerial judgment, resilience, and clinical leadership in top-tier business schools around the world. Jill Klein received her PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Michigan in 1990.

Joining the Melbourne Business School as Professor of Marketing in 2009, Jill has been a Professorial Fellow with the Melbourne Medical School since 2015. Jill previously held appointments in the Marketing Department at Kellogg Graduate School of Management, North-western University, and INSEAD, and spent periods as Visiting Professor at Bond University School of Business, Queensland, Australia, Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration, Finland and The Fuqua School of Business, Duke University.
