Leslie Hamilton
Facilitator & Coach - Futurescape
Leslie is an energetic facilitator and a masterful coach. Her vision is to work with leaders to create organisations where a bad day at the work is better than a good day at the beach.
Topic: Inclusivity: The Simplicity on the Other Side of Diversity
Research shows that organisations with diverse workforces are more successful. Multicultural members in organsiations significantly enhanced the teams’ creative performance and diverse organisations achieved greater financial success. So, it seems logical that organisations looking to be successful in the future are focusing on building cultures of diversity and inclusion today.
According to neuroscience research, the human brain is likely to exhibit threat responses that can lead to unproductive, protective behaviours when it focuses on the differences of others. Recognising that we all have the same core make-up and share two basic universal human drivers:
- the feeling of belonging
- the opportunity to meaningfully contribute to a greater good creates the foundation for a culture of Inclusivity.
Join Leslie for a lively and interactive session to reflect on our personal experiences of diversity and inclusion; imagine new ways of being; and create disruptions in our thinking to change the trajectory of our actions. We will co-create practical actions to initiate a culture of Inclusivity, co-create the inspiration to experiment with them during the conference and provide the opportunity to create support into the future.
