Beach Cleanup Day (SDG Initiative 2023)

This year the global SDG focus week covers the period of 15th to 24th of September! For individuals and corporations around the world to take the time to highlight the great importance of keeping the SDGs front of mind, raising awareness and to take action.

As your Auckland Branch committee, we have arranged for a family "Beach Cleanup Day" to take place on a Sunday at a local North Shore beach - Takapuna Beach. We will meet at the Takapuna Beach Reserve Playground and collectively gather unwanted litter/debris/rubbish in the aim to further protect our sea life and natural spaces.

For FUN we will also be judging the best sandcastle/sea creature.

Come and join us as an individual or together with your families or workmates! We would love to have you with us.

What to bring:
* Gloves
* Paper bags
* Wear green/blue reflecting our globe
* Sandcastle tools (spade/bucket)
* Picnic blanket/chair
* Sausages for the BBQ or a packed lunch
* Sun protection (wishful thinking)

This will be a great day!

The committee will all be there in support of the day, keeping you company and ensuring you have fun whilst participating as part of this important initiative.
