Sarah Balfour | Director, UpSkills

Sarah is co-founder at Upskills, an organisation focused on unlocking people's potential through learning and development in particular literacy, numeracy, leadership and digital literacy.  With a background in learning, leadership, psychology and communications, Sarah is focused on creating inclusive learning solutions which spark equitable change.  She and the team at Upskills take a codesigned, collaborative and culturally responsive approach to the mahi they do in workplaces around New Zealand, including clients Goodman Fielder, Waste Management NZ, Fonterra, Ingham's and HEB Construction.  Upskills was awarded the Diversity Works New Zealand Impact Award in 2022 for their work on Project Ikuna, upskilling Auckland's Pasifika workforce.
